Thanks for the numerous emails and being patient over the last couple of weeks – no we were not abducted by aliens or Grace Mugabe. Wonkie decided to go on a short trip to the Caribbean to experience the carnival festivities out there (and of course the customary week on the beach thereafter to recover from the over-indulgence of rum, rum, rum and more rum). Wonkie figured if we were working in the South African Department of Foreign Affairs the visit would probably count as a business trip to diversify cultural horizons and promote South Africa’s 2010 world cup – we rationalised the need for the trip accordingly.

Readers will be pleased to know approximately 60% of Trinidad now intends to visit South Africa for the world cup. Most of whom believe that they will be staying in foreign affairs minister Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma’s house, free of charge.
