Outcome-based career planning for OBE graduates

Wonkie wonders why HR managers necessarily have to be affirmative action appointments in South Africa. Seriously, a glance at any South African newspaper’s employment pages in the Human Resources section will validate this statement. Why do we never see Mechanical Engineer – Affirmative Action only or Metallurgist – Must speak Zulu adverts? Surely something is wrong with this picture in terms of where we should be heading with employment equity programmes in corporates in South Africa.
