A bit sad considering their last minute threat if they did not receive R34,000,000 (US$ 3,400,000) in additional payments in advance – a win would surely have helped their cause.
In other news, the government’s multimillion-rand tender rigging scandal will prove to be an interesting case study of exactly how Mr Zuma intends to quash corruption in his ranks, or if he even intends to seriously follow through on his firm commitment earlier. Following an investigation by the Auditor-General Terence Nombembe, it was revealed that some R 500,000,000 in government tenders were improperly awarded to their spouses and relatives.
